Most of the sea glass art on this page has been inspired by everyday events of people talking and relating their stories. One thing I can say, is that I am not an artist in the true sense, for if I were, I would not be writing this. Most of what I do is centred around birds, as they're easy to draw - well, the beaks and legs are! The bodies are taken up by the different shapes of the seaglass as and when I find it.
Collecting seaglass is not cheap! Firstly, you have to get down to the beach for a few hours in the morning, preferably after a rough sea, or storm the previous night. Then you have to be prepared to find either quite a few nice pieces, or nothing at all!
At the time of writing, petrol is not cheap, either, so it all adds to the cost of collecting seaglass, with a cup of coffee from the local kafeneion, along with some appropriate sweet or savoury delicacy to go with the coffee.
